Electronic Records and Signature Disclosure / Consent By choosing “I consent to electronic records and signatures”, I agree, to the extent permitted by law, to use electronic records and electronic signatures for the employment-related documents specifically identified by [EMPLOYER] and for related Hilo acknowledgments. This consent is distinct from my optional SMS consent. My electronic signature may have the same legal effect as a handwritten signature where applicable law permits.

• Documents covered: [WORKPLACE TIMEKEEPING POLICY], [SCHEDULE ACKNOWLEDGMENTS], [PAYROLL ATTESTATIONS], [OTHER SPECIFIED DOCUMENTS]. Government permits and employment notices requiring special procedures will follow those procedures.
• Hardware/software: browser/device capable of opening, reading, downloading and retaining accessible HTML/PDF documents; internet connectivity; ability to print or save a copy; current contact email or equivalent approved delivery method.
• Paper option: I may request a paper copy or use a paper alternative by contacting [EMPLOYER CONTACT]. [DISCLOSE ACTUAL FEES, IF ANY, ONLY IF LAWFUL].
• Withdrawal: I can withdraw future electronic delivery consent by [PROCESS], subject to any lawful effect on document delivery; prior valid signed records remain stored as permitted by law. Withdrawal of e-sign does not imply opting into SMS or waiver of earned wages.
• Updates: I must notify [EMPLOYER] of an email/address change using [METHOD] so required notices reach me.
• Evidence: Hilo retains exact version/content hash, signer verified identity, signed timestamp/timezone, explicit action, IP/device data limited by retention policy, and sealed PDF/HTML copy. If a law requires special acknowledgment, additional verification, guardian consent or wet signature, the system must offer it.

Special legal consideration: E-SIGN §101(c)'s consumer disclosure rules apply only when that law's coverage conditions are met; confirm applicability to each employee document rather than claiming every employment signature follows an identical regime. Electronic consent does not automatically substitute for state youth work permits or compulsory employee notices. See 15 U.S.C. §7001.
